We purchased a new, custom 34’ Center Console patrol boat from Rock Salt Alloy Boats this past summer to assist with the cleanup effort on the Gulf oil spill. Global Remediation was contracted to run boat operations out of the Naval Air Station in Pensacola, FL. Our crews and boats worked 7 days a week for 8 months performing different operations up and down the panhandle. The 34’ Rock Salt was contracted primarily to perform off shore and in shore reconnaissance for oil because of its range and capabilities to handle inclement seas. This boat’s performance was outstanding and impressed on a daily basis all of its passengers consisting of Coast Guard, Navy, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and OSHA officials.
The construction and craftsmanship of this boat is outstanding and I would highly recommend Rock Salts boats.
